Early larva - Pegomya

Early larva - Pegomya
Alameda County, California, USA
May 10, 2011
Size: 2.1 mm
Found between layers of leaf tissue in a small area of damage, ~1 square centimeter, on Swiss chard. I suspect it's a first instar, because a few eggs were on the other side of the leaf, directly opposite this spot.

Identified by the exact resemblance of the eggs to , which C. Eiseman identified as Pegomya.
