Click Beetle - Glyphonyx bimarginatus

Click Beetle - Glyphonyx bimarginatus
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
May 10, 2011
Size: 5mm
Perhaps a mini click beetle? Whatever it is, it looks like something Blaine would like, so I sending it to him.

Beg to differ.
It's definitely a clicker but size is medium ;-)

My beetle size scale (minute, tiny, small, medium, large, giant, enormous) doesn't include mini but if you equate it to small it would be 2-5mm.

Reference
I've been collecting Melanotus click beetles for Blaine. Compared to their 20mm, this was a "Mini-Me."

For the record...
this specimen is only 5 mm :)

Glyphonyx
This will most-likely be a Glyphonyx sp., but from the pic I cannot r/o Dalopius. I have a key to Glyphonyx so getting to the species-level should not be a problem.
