Large dragonfly in Napa vineyard - Rhionaeschna multicolor

Large dragonfly in Napa vineyard - Rhionaeschna multicolor
Napa (rural, western hills, 1300 ft elevation), Napa County, California, USA
May 11, 2011
Size: 70 mm (approx)
Hanging on grapevine leaf in my vineyard at 1300 feet in the hills west of Napa. The vineyard is surrounded by mixed forest. I think it's a darner or a biddie but I haven't been able to find a photo of anything with this coloring.

Moved
Moved from Dragonflies.
Appendages look forked (although I could use a better view)and there's a hint of a stripe on top of the thorax.

A darner
Using my copy of "Dragonflies & Damselflies of Californis" (see here (1)) I would say possibly either the Blue eyed Darner or the California Darner for your area. Exact ID probably not possible without images of face and other features.
