Dickson County, Tennessee, USA

Size: around 1 to 1 1/2
found this in one of our bath towels... Anyone know if it is a recluse?

Brown Recluse
Moved from ID Request. Though the eyes are not really visible, I agree this ID is likely correct.

looks like one to me.
looks like one to me.

yes
looks like a brown recluse to me. your smack dab in the middle of their range. check eye pattern. should be three pairs of eyes. two eyes in middle, two on right side, two on left side. google brown recluse eye pattern

I can't rule out a recluse from this shot...
...but I'm not prepared to say that it is one, either. The spider experts may know for sure (and a view of the eyes would remove all doubt, if you have one).

i do not know
My camera is not very good for close-ups, so I do not think i can get one. If you can ask "The Spider Experts" to take a look and see what they think I would be much obliged. Thanks:-)

Just hang tight...
I'm sure they'll chime in before too long. :)
