Zabulon Skipper - Poanes zabulon - female

Zabulon Skipper - Poanes zabulon - Female
Radford, Virginia, USA
May 12, 2011
Can someone please tell me which skipper this is? It was almost glowing in the filtered sunlight today, and I do not think that I have ever seen this specie before.

Moved from ID Request.

Thanks!
I appreciate your confirmation of the ID, David.

Skipper
I think this is a female Zabulon Skipper. Note the silvery area on the tip of the underside of the forewing and the white edging on the outer portion of the leading edge of the hindwing. Compare here.

Yes,
Aaron, that looks like the best match yet. Thanks for your input.

My first thought
was Pompeius verna
this picture

I don't think so..
It doesn't look like other Little Glassywings that I have seen.
Thanks for your input!

Skipper
Try looking at Northern Broken Dash Skipper - Wallengrenia egeremet. I'm no expert so wait for someone to confirm.

Thanks
Peter, that may be a possibility.
