Good find--that is a male--you can see the tymbal covers in this photo, and the more blunt abdomen without ovipositor, of course!

I have an even better find now. I am seeing a lot of
M. tredecula
now. Three species in one yard!
I'm working on photos, but I already have a decent video of a male calling. I'll post photos soon (these little guys [tredecula] are skittish and I'm having a tough time getting close ... may be time to chill a couple)

on the
tredecula
--I've just got one, and had to capture it--it is posted with a new guide page. I'm having trouble trying to isolate that call amidst the din of the other two species. Choruses seem to be at max intensity right now in my area.
