Unknown Bee in Mentzelia involucrata (part II) - Hesperapis - Female
Upper Box Canyon, northeast of Mecca, Riverside County, California, USA

Again, note the impressive glob of pollen/nectar/gunk on the hind leg of the (larger) bee here.

The smaller yellow bee is the same individual seen in this series. It was pretty much lingering in the same spot during the whole time the present series and the previous series were shot.
