Is this a Springtail? - Orchesella cincta - Male
Salt Lake, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA
May 16, 2011
Size: 4 mm
I maybe way off, but it looks like it could be a springtail. It's a hairy little thing.
After doing a little searching, I think it might be Orchesella cincta.

Orchesella cincta
Well done, Carol!
Given the size and almost black background colour, it is an adult male specimen.

Thank you!
Thanks, Frans. It's only the second springtail I've ever seen.
