I think gnaphosid is a good guess, but the only thing I'm sure about at this point is that it's a hunting spider of some sort.

Spider egg sac
Hard to say. If you look in Charley's book (1) page 29 you'll see a similar shaped sac made by a spider in the family Corinnidae, though yours isn't metallic. I've also seen similar shaped egg sacs made by ground spiders. Compare with
