, has some wonderful info about the white lined burrowing bug (Sehirus cinctus). It also shows that these insects have quite developed maternal care, and shows a photo of a Sehirus cinctus carrying her young nymphs on her back-could this be what is in this photo here also?

may be the case, but i really can't tell from these pix -- the little ones still don't look like bug nymphs to me; will ask the experts if any phoretic mites have been recorded from this bug
