Intermediate in markings between Magicicada tredecim and Magicicada tredecassini. Underside of abdomen is striped. Averages smaller than other members of genus. Song distinctive--a series of accelerated pulses (magicicada.org). This can, perhaps, be confused with courtship calls of the other species.
