pictus is the only species at least here in the Northwest that has a color pattern like that. Also the habitat agrees; I have found a number of them under moist rotten wood

Actually I believe this is a Megarthrus as Blaine suggested. This can be identified to species, I think it's pictus or something along those lines. I'll try to look it up tomorrow,

Yes, Megarthrus and I think pictus
(without key or other references available just now). Having a color pattern is unusual among North American species (but not the Asian ones).
