ID confirmed by Floyd Shockley:
"Without a doubt, that is Micropsephodes lundgreni. FYI, it is a male (you can tell by the presence of the setaceous tubercle on the head). The species is known from South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North
Carolina, Tennessee and Louisiana. It hasn't been found in Alabama or
Mississippi, but it undoubtedly occurs there too."

Thanks
Thanks for the confirmation and the info.

i'll ask Floyd to check
