Just S of Hwy 92, just E of the San Pedro River, San Pedro Nat. Cons. Area, Palominas, Cochise County, Arizona, USA

Disturbed ground with open soil, concrete rubble. This fly remained in one area taking various perches--often on pebbles or concrete slab. Chihuahuan desert habitat with mesquite, Atriplex, cactus. Elev. approx. 4500 ft. I can't see spines on the anterior tarsus.
