Novelsis uteana Casey, 1900
I'm quite sure this is a male of Novelsis uteana.

thank you so much, Andreas.
nice addition to the guide, Jason --thanks! but we still need a more suggestive habitus view...
keep them coming; i mean, any small stuff is more than welcome.

More coming
I appreciate your help as well as the other BugGuide contributors. I will get a better habitus picture this afternoon. I've only just begun to collect species in my project area, the Las Vegas Wash, many more are to come.

"many more are to come"
cool; thanks for the exciting news, Jason -- you're definitely putting Nevada on the map big time: we've had but a very few contributions from your state thus far, so yours are especially valuable

nice... very odd antenna
pls add a dorsal habitus & size
can't stress it enough: a plain dorsal shot is the most important view to help beetle identification, it's always worth the effort to take a good one [and post it first, too --then add any other angles]
