I have browsed around and I cant find anything that seems to fit, but I have no knowledge of roves. These appear to be a male/female pair.

What features would help to i
What features would help to identify these down to species level, if that is possible? I still have these on hand and I am happy to take some updated shots. From some more targeted looking Q. explanatus looks very similar and based on the other Orange County record and general proportions, might it be that sp.?

I just checked into this, it appears that based on your collection locality, Q. explanatus is the only option. Another species in California is high elevation only.

v belov was right then, it appears! Interesting to know that, what is the other species and what altitudes are they found at? I often am up in the mountains and that would be handy to know!

I think the other species is
I think the other species is up around 7000ft or so, generally this group is found under rocks at higher elevations. Q. explanatus is a generalist apparently..
