Psilacrum arpidia
Chloropidae, subfamily Oscinellinae.

A new genus for BugGuide, and a very rarely collected fly. Psilacrum arpidia is the only North American species in the genus, but it's very variable in colour - this specimen is about as pale as they get, but I've seen specimens with the thorax almost completely black. I'm not convinced they're all just one species, but that's a question for another time and place (and hopefully a few more specimens).
