Red Oak Cat - Lycia ypsilon

Red Oak Cat - Lycia ypsilon
Desoto, Dallas County, Texas, USA
April 11, 2011
Found on my fence under a Red Oak tree. I'm sure it must belong under Lycia, but this one has red bands instead of white or yellow. I reared it on Red Oak leaves and it dug under and made a lovely, neat pupal case but it got drowned when we had to take cover from tornadoes and I didn't take time to bring it in. Not sure it will do anything now.
