Although these resemble Calyptostoma in shape and are also parasitizing a crane fly, I think these are johnstonianids. Calyptostoma attach to the thorax, whereas johnstonianids attach to the posterior abdomen.

I know calyptostomatids hit crane flies... but I can't see these well enough to ID that family. I think there are water mites and trombidioids that hit them too... so I'm not sure what these are. Sorry!

As soon as I said that... I got a zoomed in and got a better look at one of the larvae. These are indeed calyptostomatid larvae. Nice photo!
