Hexagenia limbata, Side View - Hexagenia Beverly Hills, Citrus County, Florida, USA May 13, 2006 Size: over 30mm
Escorted from Sal's Italian Restaurant, where it had flown in and perched beside the specials board around 10:30 PM. Here I'm handing it off.
Given its size I'm pretty sure it's Hexagenia limbata. After viewing the guides here I think this is a subimago (wings look slightly cloudy to me), and I'm guessing this is a female since I see no penes, but I'm not sure. What I first thought might be an ovipositor is likely the vestigial tail filament.
