Two-barred Flasher - Telegonus tsongae

Two-barred Flasher - Telegonus tsongae
World Birding Center HQ at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA
Photographed in (I think) February 2006. This individual, like nearly all individuals of this species that I have observed, is nectaring on Mexican Olive, also known as Anacahuita (Cordia boissieri; Boraginaceae).

Funny....
Somebody cruising for porn is going to get this image:-) Ha!

oh, I get it...
When I saw one of these for the first time, I did not know how to tell Two-barred from the other species like Gilbert's, etc. Kenn Kaufmann and his fiance were across the garden, so I just yelled "Flasher!" It hit me right after I yelled that if a policeman were within earshot, they might think something totally different in response to that yell than a butterfly watcher...
