Emblyna cruciata
After much research I am convinced that this is Emblyna cruciata (Emerton, 1888); see Chamberlin & Gertsch, 1958, and Kaston, 1948, for drawings.

There were two more males of this same species in the vial. This specimen is somewhat lighter than the other two, which more closely hew to Chamberlin & Ivie's description (1958): "Abdomen is dusky on the sides, pale beneath, and has the dorsum mostly white, reticulated with gray, and occasionally with inconspicuous dusky markings."

Mesh Web Weavers (Dictynidae) ?
Is that what color it was? That's just a wild guess.
