Can you explain how you got the ID?
If you are a fly expert, or if you had a fly expert make the ID, we can create a guide page for this new species. Otherwise it can be moved to the genus level.

If you are a fly (or any other kind of) expert, please let us know on your contributor page, reached by clicking your name.

I added a different picture
I added a different picture from that fly, which we saw last year. The ID is according to the Audobon Field Guide To Insects And Spiders p.690, not done by an expert.

I'm hesitant to create a guide page myself
knowing very little about flies. But I have moved these to genus level and I think these nice clear shots may be enough for someone else to confirm your ID. Thanks for updating your page, too!

Wow!
Nice image!

Thank you!
:o)
