Huge Centipede - Scolopendra

Huge Centipede - Scolopendra
Mescalero Sands, west of Caprock, Chaves County, New Mexico, USA
May 5, 2006
Size: 5 inches
To my Eastern eyes this centipede was huge. He was moving fast and the light was not good, but I managed to snap this before he got away into the tangle of nearby plants. ID confirmation, correction, or elaboration appreciated.

Moved from Scolopendridae.

Looks to me like a Scolopendr
Looks to me like a Scolopendra polymorpha. There are many color variations of this centipede (hence the Latin name "polymorpha"), but this one appears identical to the specimen I have from the western Kansas area.

Thanks
Steve, Thanks very much for your help with this one!

As an easterner, I was pretty shocked by the size of the centipede.
