Host plant
I assume that the plant was American Cranberrybush (Viburnum trilobum), not to be confused with cranberry, genus Vaccinium.
This non-native beetle seems to eat only viburnums.

Viburnum
Yes, it was on Viburnum trilobum. Thanks.

Moved
Moved from Leaf Beetles.

'twere the spots

Unknown to me
This doesn't look like a sawfly. Don't know what it could be.
