Probably not a rare ant, but cryptic, so not often seen. Funny we have two collections of this widely distributed eastern species from only a single NC county!

May be same colony or even ant (not sure if the date on this is collection or image date)

They are not from the same colony and they certainly not the same ant. Jody wasn't with me when I found this specimen. The date I put was correct.
