Day 6 - Caterpillar#1 - Anicla infecta

Day 6 - Caterpillar#1 - Anicla infecta
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
June 4, 2011
Size: 5.9mm
Of all the items I gave the caterpillars, they chose some grass. About 5 days old now, they've grown significantly. I haven't measured them yet, but they are several millimeters long now. I will update the size when I have a chance to measure them.

Sweet!
This is fun to watch. One thing we would suggest is editing the title of these later images. Maybe by titling them with number of days since hatching, or something. As it stands now, if you hover over a thumbnail of these caterpillars it says "Unknown eggs found in trashline spider web." which seems like a strange title for a caterpillar. Since, we hope, you will be telling us a long story, how about having the titles give us the chronology? Titles are easy to Edit.

Dates, please
You also have to correct the dates in the data fields, otherwise you are providing wrong information. It is also easy to fix. This little problem happens when you add images of the same specimen. When doing life cycles I always try to make sure that the dates are right.
Have they found a menu they like?

Thanks for the suggestions. I
Thanks for the suggestions. I will edit the dates and titles. How about size? I thought when all pictures were part of a single record, the fields belonged to the record, not the picture. That's why I didn't change anything. If I can change later pictures without affecting the earlier ones, I'll do that.

Size too
You can change the info and you should, otherwise it is all wrong for the new ones. It is just a matter of editing each one and fixing the data fields. Once you know this it is easier because you do it when posting the image. Looking forward to the rest of the story.
