Came to black light trap. (live oak/chaparral habitat). Looks like a Pterotus obscuripennis?

I think you are correct Jim
After looking at Evans & Hogue, 2006 (1) I believe that this is indeed Zarhipis integripennis rather than Pterotus obscuripennis. And thank you for your tips on photographing insects on a black background, as a result of which my photos on a white background have improved.
