Birch Catkin Bug - Kleidocerys resedae

Birch Catkin Bug - Kleidocerys resedae
Ballston Lake, Saratoga County, New York, USA
June 4, 2011
Size: ~ 3 mm
On Jacquemonti Birch. It's interesting how these non-native trees (from the Himalayas) attract a number of insects I haven't seen anywhere else. You have to lead an exemplary life to be reincarnated as a bug like this.
