Robber Fly - Laphria index - Male

Size: ~ 18 mm?
This large, colorful robber fly landed on a sunny leaf for a meal. I'm happy to see there's a natural predator for the European snout beetles. ID help appreciated.

How much orange?
sericea / atkis ? or index / ithypyga ?
Looks more like the second.
