Olympia Marble larva - Euchloe olympia

Olympia Marble larva - Euchloe olympia
Lambton, Ontario, Canada
May 14, 2006
Size: 3/8"
I was photographing an Olympia Marble butterfly when it landed to nectar on its foodplant (Rock Cress). I noticed this tiny caterpillar along the stem, which I'm pretty sure is an Olympia Marble caterpillar.

Looks right,
Wagner(1) has an image of Falcate Orange Tip, which is very similar, on p. 87, and he says that Olympia Marble has the white spiracular stripe edged with yellow below, which seems to fit this.

Nice find!

Thanks!
I'd never seen one before, so it was a thrill to find it. I've never seen a Falcate Orangetip in Lambton County, so I think you're right.
