but this isnt a moth even though it has scales on its wings. This is caddisfly, order Trichoptera with those long antennae. Also, moth wings fold flat down not vertically

 
Scales
This caddis is genus Ceraclea (nicknamed, ironically, the scaly-winged sedge), family Leptoceridae. The appearance of scales is illusory. Species is probably slossonae.
