Leaf-footed Bug egg
Ballston Lake, Saratoga County, New York, USA
June 8, 2011
Size: 2 mm
Here's how the egg looks today. The red spots weren't there a couple days ago, but it has shown metallic gold reflections from within for several days.

COOL!
Wish I could find something as cool as that! I just find spider egg sacks.

Thanks for your comment, Sara.
It's cool that you're interested in bugs, and even give them names! Keep looking, and you're bound to find all sorts of neat things. I hope you continue taking pictures and sharing them with everyone on BugGuide :^)
