confusing comments...
Sorry guys, I have trouble following the posts: "removed from moths", "one-eyed sphinx", "removed from one-eyed sphinx," now identified as twin-spotted sphinx. Male? Female? Defined by antennae or abdomen? I still don't get what is the final call on this one.

Smerinthus jamaicensis - Twin-spotted Sphinx - Hodges #7821
Freda, the males usually rest with the abdomen curved upwards and the females have a more rounded, plumper abdomen as the one in the photo linked below. The "
Moved
" on a post is just a note automatically added by the system when photos are moved to another level in the guide. The confusion on your
Smerinthus jamaicensis
photos was caused when Ryan moved your moth to the same place twice on accident. Your moth is also
Smerinthus jamaicensis
. The species determination will be the first name in bold letters directly below the photo. Hope this helps.
Thanks
