Liposcelis entomophila (Enderlein) - Liposcelis entomophila - female

Liposcelis entomophila (Enderlein) - Liposcelis entomophila - Female
San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, USA
May 23, 2011
Size: 1.1 mm
Found in leaf litter. I sent this specimen to Mockford for his opinion. He says "The Liposcelis arrived yesterday. I guess they are entomophila, but I have never seen one with such contrasty banding. I am going to make a slide of one of them this afternoon. If you don't find any males, you may have a parthenogenetic population."

Congrats
Another first for Bug Guide! I agree with =v=, reminds me of that Queen song.

'fat-thigh bug-lover' -- just like me.
Moved from Liposcelis.
