After 400 pgs of Hymenoptera, I gave up, LOL
Should be an easy one for you folks with its coloration. Black body, yellow legs and antenae and the wings were irredescent black/purple.

Interesting behavior: In this photo, it has its hind-most legs up and pressed in. Then it would stretch its legs straight back, running them along its wings. Guessing it was cleaning its wings? It was cool to watch, though I wish I could have gotten closer to take better shots. Beautiful critter this is!

There are actually a number of ichneumons with similar coloration. Dr. Carlson will be able to tell us which one you've got.

Great!
Thanks!
