Lampyridae? - Podabrus

Lampyridae? - Podabrus
Turtle River State Park, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, USA
June 14, 2011
Size: Length ~ 10-12 mm
My first guess is Lampyridae. The colors look right, but the pronotum seems too reduced, too rounded for Photinus or Pyractomena. I need help with this specimen. Thanks! ;-)

Thanks, v belov!
Of course! That makes sense! This specimen looks more like Podabrus to me now. ;-) I've been fooled by Cantharid beetles before, but this specimen, the first of its kiind, for me, really does look like a good firefly mimic. ;-)
