Microdon globosus? - Microdon globosus
Near Russell, United Counties of Prescott-Russell, Ontario, Canada

Size: less than 1/2 inch
This small fly was on a goldenrod leaf in an old field habitat. I think it is the hover fly, Microdon globosus but would appreciate confirmation or rejection of this ID.
