Hysteropterum Adult? - Thionia elliptica

Hysteropterum Adult? - Thionia elliptica
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
June 8, 2011
Size: 5+ mm
Found on trunk of sweet-gum tree in forested area. Actually in the same small stand of trees as I found the nymphs. These are hardly the best shots I have, but they are of the same individual. I normally only get one shot before they flip off, so I have a number of images of one aspect of several individuals. Incidentally, the Hysteropterum nymphs are still running and these adults are quite numerous on the few trees in the stand.

Or...
Maybe Thionia elliptica?

Thionia elliptica
Yes; the head is quite wide compared to its length, and the back is not "saddled" as in Hysteropterum.
