colorful large fly - Exoprosopa fascipennis
near Inverness, Sumter County, Florida, USA

This was captured in a Malaise trap in a xeric area that was mostly scrubby flatwoods and sandhill habitats. If another angle or a closeup of a certain external structure would help with identification, please let me know.

This is the widespread and regionally variable Exoprosopa fascipennis.
