Salticidae, Habronattus? - Habronattus signatus
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego County, California, USA
March 26, 2006
Size: BL ~ 4.5 mm
This spider was photographed at the Borrego Palm Canyon campground on Irio Mustard. I think it is a Habronattus and wonder if it is a female? I will also post a face image. Thanks in advance for any help.

I spent a week in the Anza Borrego Desert in February 2010 and was looking for jumping spiders much of the time. The only species I saw was Habronattus signatus. Marshal Hedin confirmed the identification of the salticids I videotaped. See:

Moved from ID Request. Great find. I'll leave it here for a bit to get one of the jumping spider experts to confirm the ID.
