Chocolate brown, with yellow

Chocolate brown, with yellow "face" markings - Xylotrechus insignis
Kernville, Kern County, California, USA
June 3, 2011
Size: ~ 2 cm
This beautiful beetle posed for me on a datura (Jimson Weed) leaf...

Moved & cropped; nice bug, too --but no Clytus
Moved from ID Request.

ID confirmed by I.P. Swift

Looks like Clytus planifrons

Wait for expert confirmation/correction, though. :)

Clytus yes
The lack of yellow basal markings on the pronotum may be significant, so I'd wait for a cerambycid specialist to confirm the species.
