Ampedus ? - Anchastus binus

Ampedus ? - Anchastus binus
Middleburg, Clay County, Florida, USA
June 16, 2011
Size: 7.6mm
Blaine: Collected this at a lighted sheet under the tree directly behind the house.
I selected the above genus on proximity to a few guide pages. Bombed out on trying
to key it. 7 in FL, 4 rep'ed on BG. I will take a ventral shot later if you need it.
Have several others from last night as well, I will post a couple later. Would
appreciate an assist on this one Oh great Elat specialist!

Moved
Moved from Megapenthes.

Note the membranous tarsal pads and antennal segment three noticeably longer than two--two characters not seen in Megapenthes (the latter is seen in one species-group of Megapenthes but they are never bicolored).

cool --thanks!
sorry, Bruce...
