Lacon sp.??? - Lacon mexicanus

Lacon sp.??? - Lacon mexicanus
Middleburg, Clay County, Florida, USA
June 16, 2011
Size: 15.5mm
Collecetd at lighted sheet. The photo's look different from a scope view in that under
the scope, the vestiture looks like a reed/mat weave. The photo shows individual stiff
setae coming out of the punctations. Had to shoot an oblique shot to get it all in
the scope/camera frame. Still a great looking critter. Hope I have the correct genus.
There are 5 spp in FL, did not feel real comfortable matching this guy
to any of them. OH Blaine!! PS: The photo's are over-exposed, you can frass after ID.
