larvae on datura plant - Lema
Amesville, Athens County, Ohio, USA
June 21, 2011
Size: 7 mm
I have been seeing these on a datura plant in the morning. They are no longer there in the heat of the afternoon. I don't know if this image is useful, because I see there are some like it at http://bugguide.net/node/view/463879/bgimage

There are several other Lema species known to feed on Datura, although I don't know how many might be found in Ohio. Most members of the genus are associated with nightshades of some sort.

I would say Lema.
Lema daturaphila would be my guess but there might be others that will feed on Datura, not sure.
