Darkly marked ground beetle - Bembidion

Darkly marked ground beetle - Bembidion
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
May 5, 2006
Size: about 5 mm maybe
This is the only usable image I got of this little guy I collected near a runoff catchment basin. I had him in with some other carabids during a photo shoot, but he was the quickest, always moving, and by the time I focused he was almost always gone. I think he has died since and been consumed by other beetles.

Moved
Moved from Bembidion.

Carabidae: Bembidion sp.
You can see the oblique impressions between the eys nicely.

Aha!
That must be a Bembidion trait then. I thought they might be of some use in IDing this one. Thanks for the genus name.

It is
one of the generic characters, but on many photos they are hard to see.
