not apicalis
This is BOLD Sequence ID GMLC916-12 which is placed in BIN BOLD:ACF1323 containing 66 "Clostera n. sp. nr. apicalis" and 3 unidentifieds. Based on size and wing shape, this would seem to be Clostera ornata, which was raised from synonymy of apicalis in the latest MONA fascicle, but I'm not sure if they can be dark like this. I assume your other similar example at BugGuide is would barcode as this one.

Steve
This specimen has 13.8mm forewing length. Here are links to 3 more of my specimens already on BugGuide which were sequenced at BOLD: ; and I've added 3 additional individuals of this species which were sequenced at BOLD: . Maybe this will help separate C. apicalis from C. ornata?

Size
Well maybe I'm wrong then. This one is the largest. The average WL for your submissions is a little under 13mm. BIN AAA4924 has what I thought was true apicalis with 76 specimens from across the US and Canada. I emailed an expert so for now we wait. Thanks for the additional info.
