small bee - Heriades

small bee - Heriades
Cherokee, crawford County, Kansas, USA
June 23, 2011
Size: 1cm
This little bee's abdomen is white, kinda like that of a Megachile. I have never seen one this small but then again I am new to this. The bee was very active on the Monarda (Beebalm), it would bite the the flower tubes.
