Some sort of bee fly or bumblebee, maybe? It was fairly large, and stopped for only a moment, one image only.

Thanks for the clue, V. Once I knew it was a Syrphid, I quickly id'd it out to Merodon. You may want to frass this, but it is a first BG data point for NB.
