Andrew Cline replies, "Interesting... definitely not a Kateretid. Looks more like a Carpophiline nitidulid ... I’m cc’ing Gareth Powell as he is the expert on the carpophilin-lineage."

James' concern is well-founded. I understand that Andrew Cline is an expert on this family, but he needs to take another look and explain his ID.
Amartus
has "Antennae with a loose, three segmented club and last segment subappendiculate"
(
1
)
. Also, the pronotum is the wrong shape for
A. tinuctus
, being widest near the middle vs. near the base. None of the other Kateretidae genera appear to have such a compact spheroidal club
(
2
)
. Many species in Nitidulidae do, though.

I don't think this can be Amartus tinctus?
Look at the antennae and shape differences compared to the others here.
